1. Will the aquarium kit work with my local voltage and plug standard?
Yes, absolutely. All MontFalls aquarium kits come equipped with an ultra-quiet, wide-voltage pump and power adapter compatible with 100V–240V (50/60Hz). Based on your shipping address, we automatically include the correct regional plug standard:
- United States & Canada: Type A/B standard plug (110V–120V)
- United Kingdom, Middle East, Singapore & Hong Kong: Type G three-pin plug (220V–240V)
- European Union: Type C/F standard European plug (220V–240V)
- Australia & New Zealand: Type I standard plug (230V)

2. How is the kit packaged for international delivery? What if it arrives damaged?
Each MontFalls kit is heavily protected using custom-engineered, multi-layer high-density molded foam inside a reinforced, export-grade double-walled honeycomb carton (outer packaging dimensions: 76 × 71 × 50 cm, gross shipping weight: 30 kg). It is designed to withstand long-distance international air freight.

We will dispatch a brand-new replacement part or complete unit immediately at zero cost to you.
3. Is assembly complicated? Does it arrive assembled?
The intricate stone mountain structure and waterfall aquascape come pre-assembled, carved, and cured by our studio artisans. You do not need to build the rockwork yourself.
Setting up takes only 15–20 minutes:
- Position the pre-assembled rock centerpiece into the high-clarity glass tank.
- Add the included natural fine quartz sand into the collection basin.
- Fill with clean, dechlorinated water and plug into a standard wall outlet.
4. How does the sand waterfall mechanism work? Do I ever need to refill the sand?
The waterfall effect is powered by an ultra-quiet, concealed fluid-lift mechanism. As water circulates, specialized high-density quartz sand is drawn upward through internal channels and gently cascades down the carved rock cliffs into a concealed lower collection reservoir, where it cycles continuously.
Because the sand stays within a closed-loop system, the sand never runs out and does not need regular refilling. We also provide extra backup sand in every package.
5. How do I maintain and clean the aquarium?
Maintenance is minimal and designed for easy desktop enjoyment:
- Water Top-up: Top up fresh water every 1–2 weeks to replace natural evaporation.
- Water Change: Perform a light 25%–30% partial water change once every 3–4 weeks using clean water.
- Pump Maintenance: The pump features an integrated intake strainer. Rinsing the pump filter sponge every 1–2 months takes just 2 minutes and ensures silent, continuous operation.
